About us

Three young brown cattle with white faces grazing on a grassy field under a blue sky.

Hi,

We are Tom and Emily and we own the Rebel Red Herd. We started off with five Devon red heifers about five years ago and have now grown our numbers to a small herd of around thirty-five. Our cows are Devon reds and our bull (Tommy) is a Hereford.

Our cattle graze on about 50 acres of land in and around the rebel town of Colyton, in East Devon and are free range 365 days of the year. They are solely grass fed.

Breeding on a small scale means we can ethically produce our beef to a high standard. Our cows and calves stay together until the calves are around a year old making for relaxed and happy animals. These calves then go on to slowly grow until they are 24-30 months old.

Using nothing artificial on the land and feeding nothing but a grass based diet to our cattle you can rest assured nothing nasty is going into your steaks or burgers.
